Three top-five teams head to StarSeries Fall LAN
Vitality, FURIA, Natus Vincere and MOUZ are direct invites to the $500,000 StarSeries Fall LAN in Europe, Sept. 17–20; four more teams will qualify through closed regional events.
StarLadder has confirmed four direct invites for the StarSeries Fall LAN: Vitality, FURIA, Natus Vincere and MOUZ. The event will run Sept. 17–20 on LAN in a Schengen country and carries a $500,000 prize pool. The host city and country have not been announced.
The tournament will feature eight teams in total. Four slots are reserved for the invited teams and four will be filled by winners of regional closed qualifiers.
Closed qualifiers are set to begin in late July. Two spots will be awarded through European qualifiers, one through a North American qualifier and one through a South American qualifier.
Last year’s StarSeries Fall included only one team ranked inside the top 20, Natus Vincere, which won the event. This edition’s direct invites include three teams currently ranked in the global top five among the four invited organizations.
StarLadder has released limited logistical information so far. Further announcements on the exact venue, ticketing and match schedules are expected after the host city and country are finalized.
