jL May Retire If He Cannot Find a Team After Singapore

Justinas “jL” Lekavičius may retire from Counter-Strike 2 if he cannot find a suitable team after the PGL Major Singapore 2026.

Former NAVI rifler Justinas “jL” Lekavičius may retire from professional Counter-Strike 2 if he cannot find a suitable team after the PGL Major Singapore 2026. The 27-year-old has not made a final decision and would prefer to leave competition rather than join a roster that does not match his goals.

jL discussed his future Wednesday, Oct. 28, after helping Vitality reach the PGL Masters Bucharest playoffs. He wants to join a team that can compete for trophies in 2027, though continuing his career is not a priority at any cost.

“To be honest, if I don’t find a team after Singapore, I might just call it quits,” jL said.

Trophies are only one source of motivation for the Lithuanian player. He also enjoys improving with teammates, building strong relationships and working through the process that leads to success. If he cannot find that type of environment, he could spend more time with his family and create content.

Family is part of jL’s decision because he and his wife are expecting a child. He is currently playing for Vitality as a temporary replacement for Dan “apEX” Madesclaire, who is on paternity leave. jL previously stood in for William “mezii” Merriman at BLAST Open Porto while the British player dealt with family matters.

Vitality defeated NAVI 2-0 Tuesday, Oct. 27, winning Inferno 13-2 and Dust2 13-9. The result sent Vitality to the Bucharest playoffs. During his stand-in period, jL has focused on helping the team achieve the best possible results rather than using the event to seek a permanent contract.

The PGL Major Singapore is scheduled for Nov. 24 through Dec. 13. jL’s next career decision will come after the tournament. He has not announced whether he will return to a permanent roster or retire.

jL won the PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 with NAVI and received the tournament’s MVP award. He left NAVI’s active roster in July 2025 and officially departed the organization in July 2026.
