K/DA Releases ‘Never Going Back’ Video With MIYEON, SOYEON
K/DA released the “NEVER GOING BACK” visualizer on Oct. 27, featuring i-dle members MIYEON and SOYEON on vocals.
K/DA released the “NEVER GOING BACK” visualizer on Oct. 27, continuing the virtual League of Legends group’s return after nearly six years without new music.
MIYEON and SOYEON again voice Ahri and Akali, respectively. They have held those roles since K/DA debuted with “POP/STARS” in 2018. Unlike “FIRESTARTER,” which features four singers, “NEVER GOING BACK” includes vocals from the two i-dle members בלבד.
The lyrics focus on moving forward without regret. They reference speed, pressure and pushing past personal limits, with repeated themes of confidence, independence and refusing to look back.
Riot Games credited Aejin Kwon and Sébastien Najand as the song’s writers. Kwon wrote the lyrics, while Najand produced the track. Tom Norris mixed it, Dale Becker mastered it and Frequency provided additional vocal production.
The visualizer follows the “FIRESTARTER” music video, released Oct. 18, and the “WATCH ME” lyric video, released Oct. 23. “WATCH ME” features Sophie Powers and Mimi Webb. The three songs are part of a four-track EP marking K/DA’s comeback and are available to stream.
Riot’s release schedule lists an early Spotify premiere for the “GIRLS (w/ DJ Sona)” video on Nov. 3 and a general release on Nov. 5. The song features Sophie Powers, Sorana and Royal & The Serpent alongside DJ Sona, a character from the League of Legends universe.
K/DA is scheduled to perform at the opening ceremony of the Worlds 2026 final on Nov. 14 at Barclays Center in New York City.
Riot also released music from other League of Legends acts in 2026. HEARTSTEEL released “Live My Life” in September, while True Damage released “Know My Name,” the official Worlds 2026 anthem. Pentakill contributed an orchestral version of the Worlds theme. Riot has not confirmed reports about a possible new group called FIRST BLOOD.
