Bwipo in talks to join RED Canids as jungler in 2027

RED Canids is reportedly in talks with Gabriël “Bwipo” Rau about joining its League of Legends roster as a jungler for the 2027 CBLOL season. No agreement has been confirmed, and the organization has not announced a signing.

The move would give Bwipo a return to Brazil and a new position in the CBLOL. He has spent most of his career as a top laner but played jungle for Fnatic during the 2021 LEC season, when the team reached the final. He also played jungle for Forsaken in 2026.

Bwipo joined Estral Esports as a top laner for the second split of the 2026 Circuito Desafiante. Estral won the title with a 19-0 record but lost 3-2 to KaBuM! Ilha das Lendas in the promotion tournament. The result denied Estral a place in the 2027 CBLOL.

Estral is expected to release its players without transfer fees, giving Bwipo the option to negotiate with another team. In September, he identified a return to the LEC as his priority and said he wanted to finish his career there. He also left open the possibility of staying in Brazil if he could not find a European opportunity.

RED Canids’ interest in Bwipo comes amid uncertainty over Eloy “STEPZ” Rodríguez’s future. The organization is considering a change in the jungle position because the Venezuelan player has had difficulty obtaining visas for international competitions.

STEPZ missed the Demacia Cup Global Invitational in China because he could not travel. Gabriel “Aegis” Lemos replaced him at the event. RED Canids reportedly offered to help with STEPZ’s visa documentation, alongside a proposed salary reduction that the player did not accept.

Bwipo has also approached LOUD about a possible opportunity to play jungle. Bwipo and the organizations involved have not publicly commented on the potential move to RED Canids.
