Epic Games and Lucasfilm will present a free preview of the film The Mandalorian and Grogu inside Fortnite on May 19 at 10 AM ET. The event will run the first ten minutes of the film on the official UEFN Nevarro island.
To join, players must load Fortnite, open the Discover menu, select the UEFN Nevarro island and enter the event-specific matchmaking. The island recreates Nevarro and includes an amphitheater with a central screen where the footage will play.
Players who remain on the island for at least 20 minutes during the screening will receive the Mandalorian Sanctuary loading screen at no cost. The watch party does not require V-Bucks or purchases. No free character outfits or other cosmetics are available as part of the event.
The preview is scheduled three days before the film’s theatrical release on May 22 and is limited to the specified date and time. Access is available only through Fortnite’s Discover interface and participants must be logged into Fortnite at the start time to join the matchmaking.
The screening is a collaboration between Epic Games and Lucasfilm and is hosted within Fortnite’s user-created UEFN island environment.
Previously, Epic Games confirmed Overwatch skins (D.Va, Tracer, Mercy and Genji) that will be added to Fortnite with the v40.40 update.
