BYD Named Team Vitality’s Official Summer Vehicle Supplier

BYD France and Team Vitality published a joint announcement naming the BYD Dolphin G DM-i as the esports organisation’s official vehicle for the summer. The announcement states the car will accompany players and staff during travel.

The agreement describes BYD as the team’s “automotive supplier for the summer period” and lists covered rosters: Rocket League, Teamfight Tactics, Tekken 8, Fortnite, Honor of Kings, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, chess and Trackmania. No specific start or end dates were provided beyond the reference to summer.

The BYD Dolphin G DM-i is a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) supermini hatchback. The announcement did not disclose financial terms or a detailed allocation of vehicles, branding rights or activation activities.

Neither organisation published a breakdown of operational responsibilities or the number of vehicles to be provided. The companies offered only general information about the vehicle serving as the team’s official car during the designated period.

Automakers have increased sponsorship activity in esports in recent years, partnering with teams and events across regions. BYD maintains a separate presence in China’s League of Legends esports ecosystem apart from this arrangement.

The partnership will supply Team Vitality with a dedicated vehicle for travel needs during its summer roster schedule and will give BYD exposure to Vitality’s audience across the listed titles. Further operational details and the precise duration of the supplier role remain unspecified.
