Wildcard credits Cxzi, nEMANHA after BC Game Masters win

Wildcard defeated FOKUS to win the BC Game Masters Championship Season 2 in Portugal. The victory capped a sequence of three top regional finishes and was the first S-Tier trophy for this lineup. The result moved Wildcard into the top 30 of the global VRS after the team began the VRS cycle outside the top 100.

Coach Jadan ‘HexT’ Postma credited the additions of Danny ‘Cxzi’ Strzelczyk and Nemanja ‘nEMANHA’ Đukić for raising the team’s play and changing the locker-room environment. He said Cxzi brought experience and steadiness that complements younger players such as Jaxon ‘Peeping’. Describing nEMANHA’s in-game leadership, HexT called it loose and initiative-driven, willing to let players make plays while accepting the risk when someone is off. ‘I personally like the way that nEMANHA calls. It’s very loose, it’s not very set. He wants you to take initiative and make plays,’ he added.

Wildcard rebuilt across 2026, replacing almost the entire roster. The new core accumulated VRS points by entering smaller LAN events and advancing through regional competitions. HexT described the plan as deliberate, saying the team expected to play lower-tier events to earn entries to majors and used the VRS system to collect points.

Wildcard is expected to receive an invite to the EWC, which would be the team’s first S-Tier appearance. HexT tempered expectations, noting the squad has not faced many of the game’s top five teams recently and that their preparation included a four- to five-day bootcamp ahead of the Portugal event. ‘Expectations are just to take it game by game,’ he said.

The win altered Wildcard’s standing in North America. HexT noted Team Liquid’s current struggles and observed that regional rankings shift frequently; Wildcard’s stated focus is on improving its global position rather than on a single regional ranking.
