Coach slams discipline after Vitality win over FUT at BLAST Rivals
Vitality beat FUT at BLAST Rivals, but coach Rémy “XTQZZZ” Quoniam called the performance “really bad,” citing undisciplined play and thrown rounds on Nuke and Dust2.
Vitality defeated FUT at the BLAST Rivals event, but head coach Rémy “XTQZZZ” Quoniam criticized the team’s performance, calling it “really bad” and saying the side played undisciplined and threw rounds on Nuke and Dust2.
“We played really badly. Not disciplined at all. We threw away many rounds on Nuke and Dust2. We didn’t play together. It was too individual. It was a really bad game. It’s still a win, but not happy at all,” he said after the match.
Quoniam noted Vitality had scouted FUT, who used a stand-in for the match, and warned players to maintain discipline because the opponent does not hesitate to take duels and has strong individual players. He added that the team did not follow the prepared game plan.
The coach singled out Nuke and Dust2 as maps where rounds were lost because of individual choices rather than coordinated team play.
Despite the criticism, Vitality secured the match victory at BLAST Rivals. Quoniam urged tighter coordination, adherence to the game plan and fewer isolated engagements in upcoming matches.
