Teamfight Manager 2 launches on Steam Early Access
Team Samoyed released Teamfight Manager 2 on Steam Early Access, an autobattler-style esports management sim built around a fictional five-role MOBA.
Korean indie studio Team Samoyed has launched Teamfight Manager 2 on Steam Early Access. The game is an esports management simulator that uses an autobattler-style system to resolve matches and places players in charge of a virtual organisation on Steam.
Players manage scouting, player contracts, roster selection, practice and in-game tactics. Matches follow a standard five-role MOBA layout — Top, Jungle, Mid, Bot and Support — with victory defined by destroying the opponent’s Nexus. In-game action is automated: champions follow orders, contest objectives and resolve combat on a simulated map rather than through direct player control.
Management features include negotiating deals, setting bans and picks, and assigning tactical orders for matches. The game models individual player statistics and runs a simulated ranked solo queue to generate form indicators, practice habits and other factors designed to inform recruitment and lineup choices.
The sequel adds dozens of new champions beyond the original 2021 release and introduces a deeper tactics system. At Early Access launch the core gameplay loop, a full champion roster, team management systems and an online league mode are available. Steam Workshop support allows players to create and share custom champions, maps, teams and tournaments. The game trailer includes recognisable esports names such as IgNar and Mowgli among in-game rosters.
Team Samoyed plans further updates during Early Access, including additional champions, expanded management options and balance adjustments based on player feedback. The title has received mixed reviews on Steam at launch. The original Teamfight Manager from 2021 holds a very positive review rating of about 83 percent on the platform.
A similar title, Esports Team Manager, released last year and featured licensed UK organisations including Bulldog and Verdant. That release and Teamfight Manager 2 are among recent entries into the esports management simulation space.
