Korean indie studio Team Samoyed released Teamfight Manager 2 into Steam Early Access on May 26, 2026. The game is an esports management simulation built around a fictional multiplayer online battle arena.
Players manage a virtual esports organization. Tasks include scouting and signing players, setting team tactics, choosing bans and picks, and negotiating player contracts. The game features an online league mode.
Matches use a full MOBA structure with Top, Jungle, Mid, Bot and Support roles and a win condition based on destroying the enemy Nexus. Match outcomes are resolved in an autobattler style: once lineups and orders are set, characters advance and fight automatically across objectives that mirror MOBA map features.
The management systems use algorithm-driven simulation to model player performance and form. Each player has individual stats and a simulated ranked solo queue that reflects practice habits and current form to inform recruitment and lineup decisions. The systems are similar to analytic and manager tools used in sports management titles such as F1 Manager.
The sequel adds dozens of new champions along with returning characters, and a deeper tactics system. Steam Workshop support is included to let players create and share champions, maps, teams and tournaments. At Early Access launch the core gameplay loop, a full champion roster, team management systems and the online league mode are available.
The Early Access release has mixed reviews on Steam at launch. The original Teamfight Manager, released in 2021, held about an 83% positive rating on the platform. Team Samoyed plans to expand the champion pool, broaden management features and adjust balance during Early Access based on community feedback.
The Early Access trailer features names shown with player tags such as IgNar and Mowgli. Teamfight Manager 2 is available now on Steam Early Access for players who want to try the systems while development continues.
