Spirit sweep Falcons to set up MOUZ rematch

Spirit beat Falcons 13-8 on Mirage and 13-10 on Anubis at Spodek to reach the semifinals. They will face MOUZ, who defeated them in the 2-0 pool at Pro League.

Spirit took control of Mirage with a 12-3 first half. Andrey “tN1R” Tatarinovich found openings around Window and Jungle, winning a 1v2 and an ace during the early rounds. Dmitry “sh1ro” Sokolov also helped Spirit finish the half with a 2v4 round.

Falcons won the opening pistol round and the following round, but Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov’s AWP ace was their only other round before the break. Spirit won the second-half pistol and reached map point at 12-3. Falcons recovered several rounds, but Spirit closed the map 13-8. tN1R finished Mirage with a 2.06 rating.

Spirit also won the opening pistol on Anubis and moved to a 3-0 lead. Maksim “kyousuke” Lukin then won a 1v2 to save Falcons in their first gun round. Multikills from kyousuke and m0NESY, followed by a triple kill from Finn “karrigan” Andersen against pistols, helped Falcons tie the score.

Danil “donk” Kryshkovets then produced an ace with an AK-47 and added a triple kill late in the first half to give Spirit a narrow lead. After the side switch, he recorded three MP7 kills against a force-buy, helping Spirit reach match point. Clutches from Nikola “NiKo” Kovač and karrigan delayed the finish, but Spirit won Anubis 13-10.

Donk led Spirit’s series rating at 1.45 and finished with 38 kills. Boris “magixx” Vorobiev had 39 kills, while tN1R recorded 36. For Falcons, m0NESY and kyousuke each had 37 kills.
