Spirit beat FUT 3-1 in the Esports World Cup final in Paris, winning Anubis, Ancient and Nuke after dropping Cache to claim their second title of 2026.
Spirit defeated FUT 3-1 in the Esports World Cup grand final in Paris, with map scores of 10-13 on Cache, 16-13 on Anubis, 16-14 on Ancient and 13-5 on Nuke. The victory is Spirit’s second major title of 2026, following their PGL Astana win.
FUT opened on Cache, a map they had not played in the event, and used an aggressive approach to take a 3-0 lead and later a 12-6 advantage. Yasin “xfl0ud” Koç produced a match-high 140 ADR while FUT closed the map 13-10.
On Anubis FUT started 4-1 but Spirit’s defense shifted momentum. Dmitry “sh1ro” Sokolov, Danil “donk” Kryshkovets and Andrey “tN1R” Tatarinovich combined for a strong run that put Spirit up 11-5. FUT rallied to 12-12 and the match went to overtime, where tN1R produced a late burst as Spirit closed the map 16-13.
Ancient stayed tightly contested. Donk’s three-kill on a partial buy helped level the score at 6-6. Dmytro “dem0n” Myroshnychenko and Džiugas “dziugss” Steponavičius delivered multi-kill rounds that pushed FUT to a 12-9 lead, but Spirit recovered. A missed 1v3 clutch by dem0n sent the map to overtime and Spirit won 16-14.
On Nuke Spirit controlled the attack side, building a 10-2 halftime lead. tN1R and Myroslav “zont1x” Plakhotia produced high-impact multi-kills as Spirit closed the map 13-5 and the series 3-1.
Individual ratings reflected Spirit’s depth. Donk finished as the highest-rated player in the final with a 1.36 rating. Zont1x posted a 1.19 rating and tN1R 1.10; sh1ro recorded a 1.05 rating and Boris “magixx” Vorobiev a 0.92. For FUT, dem0n had a 1.18 rating and xfl0ud recorded 140 ADR. Aulon “Krabeni” Fazlija recorded key moments but his side could not complete the comeback on Nuke.
FUT reached the final undefeated in Paris and had playoff wins over MOUZ and FURIA; it was the team’s first appearance in a Big Event grand final. Spirit’s run included a quarter-final victory over Vitality that ended a six-match losing streak to that opponent. The Esports World Cup title is Spirit’s second major of the year and ends FUT’s unbeaten run in Paris without a championship.
