Vitality’s midlaner FIESTA targets top-three

Ahn “FIESTA” Hyeon-seo, 23, became Team Vitality’s starting midlaner after replacing Marek “Humanoid” Brázda following the LEC Spring Split. He has contributed to Vitality’s Summer Split win streak and set goals of a top-three league finish and a spot at Worlds 2026.

FIESTA described his first week in Europe as difficult but said he adapted quickly with support from teammates and staff. He credited Matyáš “Carzzy” Orság’s outgoing personality with helping him fit into the roster.

He noted a difference in atmosphere between Europe and Korea, saying European players keep a positive mood and high energy even after losses, while Korea felt more serious. Support player Kadir “Fleshy” Kemiksiz, despite past solo-queue arguments with FIESTA, has become one of his most vocal supporters during strong plays.

On the Rift, FIESTA described his style as aggressive and creative. He has a wide champion pool, adapts to new characters after a few practice games, and is willing to use unconventional midlane picks such as Aatrox. He counts LeBlanc and Ahri among his preferred choices.

Assessing Vitality’s current level, FIESTA praised toplaner Kaan “Naak Nako” Okan as “the best in the league.” He estimated the team is showing “about 70% of its potential” in official matches compared with scrims and identified clearer communication and stronger mid-game macro as the main areas to improve.

FIESTA’s route to the LEC roster included a successful spell in Türkiye, where he won the 2024 Summer Split and was named Finals MVP. He experienced difficulty finding a team in Korea and took a forced break before returning to play earlier this year with BNK FearX Youth, calling that return his “last chance.” Strong scrim performances against Team Vitality while he was in Türkiye likely led to his invitation to join the club.

Vitality is currently contesting a top-four spot and a Worlds berth. The club and its new midlaner are working on tightening in-game communication and mid-game decision-making as the Summer Split progresses.
