FUT sweep MOUZ to reach Esports World Cup semifinals

FUT defeated MOUZ 2-0 on Aug. 22, 2026, at the Esports World Cup, taking Dust2 16-13 and Ancient 13-5 to advance to the semifinals, where they will meet FURIA later the same day. MOUZ’s loss on Dust2 followed a change to their map veto, as they removed Nuke after two prior defeats to FUT.

On Dust2 MOUZ opened the match with a 5-0 lead. FUT recovered by employing aggressive CT setups, contesting map control and executing quick flanks that disrupted MOUZ’s rotations. MOUZ regained momentum in the second half with effective utility use and multiple successful retakes to force overtime. FUT won the overtime period 4-1 to secure the map.

Ancient was decided in regulation. FUT established control early and produced coordinated pressure across the map, while MOUZ produced only isolated impact rounds. Ádám “torzsi” Torzsás had several notable AWP rounds for MOUZ, but FUT closed the match 13-5.

Individual performances for FUT included Yasin “xfl0ud” Koç leading the team in kills and delivering several multi-kill rounds, Aulon “Krabeni” Fazlija recording a four-kill round with a MAC-10, and Nikita “cmtry” Samolotov producing key entry kills, including a three-kill AK sequence on Dust2. For MOUZ, Torzsás and Dorian “xertioN” Berman produced impact moments, and Adrian “xelex” Vincze and Lotan “Spinx” Giladi had early contributions on Dust2.

With the win FUT advances to the semifinal against FURIA. MOUZ is eliminated from the Esports World Cup knockout stage.
