onethreefive to run Techniker Prime League in DACH, 2026–27

Riot Games appointed Berlin-based onethreefive gaming to operate the League of Legends Techniker Prime League in Germany, Austria and Switzerland for 2026 and 2027.

Riot Games appointed Berlin-based onethreefive gaming GmbH to operate the League of Legends Techniker Prime League across Germany, Austria and Switzerland for the 2026 and 2027 competitive seasons. The company will immediately assume responsibility for league organization, lower competitive tiers and overall league structures.

The appointment follows roughly six months of uncertainty after the previous long-term operator, Freaks 4U Gaming GmbH, filed for provisional insolvency in November 2025 at the Charlottenburg local court. Freaks had held a Riot Games operation license extended through 2027 but encountered severe financial difficulties that prompted Riot to seek a new operator for the DACH territory.

According to Riot and onethreefive, average hours watched per match rose 200 percent year on year compared with the 2025 season. The increase followed digital co-streaming integrations with regional content creators and team co-owners and continued commercial support from sponsors including Techniker Krankenkasse, Nongshim, KitKat and DKB.

Onethreefive has secured a commercial partnership with electronics retailer MediaMarktSaturn that designates XPERION Berlin as a year-round physical home for the Techniker Prime League. The venue will host selected live match days, in-person community events and specialised team marketing activities, supplementing regular online broadcasts for the season.

The appointment covers two full competitive seasons and gives onethreefive responsibility for the league’s competitive ladder and development pathways in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The operator will run day-to-day league functions, lower-tier competitions and community-facing programs through the 2026 and 2027 seasons.

Riot did not disclose financial terms of the appointment or the MediaMarktSaturn partnership.

Matthias Remmert, chief product officer of onethreefive gaming and founder of heartbase group, described the goal as “to build a league that feels professional, approachable, authentic and alive.”
