Ninjas in Pyjamas GM Björn ‘THREAT’ Pers exits club
Ninjas in Pyjamas general manager Björn ‘THREAT’ Pers has left the Swedish organisation, saying he did not want a role that excluded performance-related work and is weighing his next steps.
Björn ‘THREAT’ Pers, 38, parted ways with Swedish organisation Ninjas in Pyjamas earlier this year. He announced the departure on X, stating he chose to leave because he did not want to remain in a role that excluded performance-related work. Pers added he is considering future opportunities inside or outside esports.
Pers first joined Ninjas in Pyjamas in 2016 as head coach. He returned to the organisation in three separate spells across different roles and later served as general manager.
In a post on X, Pers wrote: ‘Earlier this year, I made the difficult decision to part ways with NIP. The main reason was that I didn’t want to be in a role where performance-related work wasn’t part of what I do. That’s something that matters a lot to me. As for what’s next, I’m still figuring that out, whether that’s within esports or beyond it.’
Ninjas in Pyjamas fields teams and staff across multiple competitive titles. Pers’s announcement did not name an immediate successor at NIP and did not list specific offers he is considering.
