Monte defeated PARIVISION 13-5 on Inferno in the Major decider, securing a place in Stage 3 and leaving the Russian squad one loss from elimination.

Monte defeated PARIVISION 13-5 on Inferno in the Major decider, completing a 2-1 series and securing a place in Stage 3. PARIVISION now faces elimination if they lose their next match at the event.

The best-of-three opened on Mirage, where PARIVISION won 13-7. The map included a technical pause after Monte queried whether a Palace spam was legal. The result was a rare Mirage victory for PARIVISION, who had a 4-9 record on the map over the previous three months.

Monte rebounded on Ancient. The team posted an eight-round CT half that put PARIVISION under pressure and allowed Monte to take the map and force a decider on Inferno.

Inferno, a map Monte has rarely used in competition, became the series decider. Monte closed the map 13-5. In one round Monte executed a Long push that caught PARIVISION’s A-site defenders off guard. In another round Monte anticipated rotations and rotated into an empty B site to win a 3v5. PARIVISION’s Vladislav “xiELO” Lysov was repeatedly exposed in his default positioning, including two rounds where he walked through a B Cave smoke and was killed on the other side.

In-game leader Jack “Gizmy” von Spreckelsen directed Monte’s rotations and mid-round decisions while coach Alexander “kakafu” Szymanczyk prepared the team’s approach. Aleks “Rainwaker” Petrov finished with 41 kills and a 1.17 rating3.0, Jack “Gizmy” von Spreckelsen had 41 kills and a 1.14 rating3.0, and Aurélien “afro” Drapier recorded 42 kills and a 1.10 rating3.0. On PARIVISION, Vladislav “xiELO” Lysov logged 47 kills and a 1.04 rating3.0; other players posted positive kill totals but lower overall round impact metrics.

PARIVISION head coach Dastan “dastan” Akbayev acknowledged the squad’s youth and said he altered his communication style for the Major: “My players are very young, and maybe when I talk with them like I talk with grown people, it will not work. I changed this.” Monte’s in-game leader reflected on the team’s objective at the event and on reaching Stage 3: “Making Stage Three is what we wanted from the beginning, I’m very proud of the team.”

By winning the series, Monte advance to Stage 3 of the Major. PARIVISION remain on one loss from elimination and will return to the tournament bracket to play their next match.
