MLBB launches Thailand and Americas regional leagues

MOONTON launches MLBB Super League Thailand and MLBB Championship Tour AMER, April–June regional leagues with $50,000 and $29,000 prize pools that qualify teams for MSC 2026

MOONTON Games has launched two regional Mobile Legends: Bang Bang leagues for April through June 2026: the MLBB Super League Thailand and the MLBB Championship Tour AMER. The competitions carry prize pools of $50,000 and $29,000 and provide qualification paths to the Mid Season Cup (MSC) 2026.

The MLBB Super League Thailand, announced in January 2026, began its inaugural season in mid-April and runs through the end of June. The ten-team league received an initial investment of ฿10,000,000 (about $303,648) to support social media growth, community programs, team incentives, a watch party program and the prize fund. GCN Myanmar is listed as a joint organizer. Teams competing include Buriram United Esports, Bacon Time, FULL SENSE and eArena. The league champion will receive a flight and a place in the MSC 2026 Wildcard Stage.

The MLBB Championship Tour AMER started on April 16 and continues until June 14, replacing the former MPL LATAM circuit. The event covers North America, Central America, Latin America and Brazil and is split into Group North (North America and Latin America North) and Group South (South America). Each group fields eight teams; the top two from each group advance to a single-elimination finals bracket. Entrants include Alpha7 Esports, Leviatán and 9z Team. The MCT AMER winner will qualify directly for the MSC 2026 Main Stage, while the runner-up will take a Wildcard slot at the mid-season event.

Both leagues are part of MOONTON’s 2026 competitive calendar that offers teams from countries without domestic MPL seasons a route into international events. Across two annual splits, teams in these regional circuits can secure early-stage berths at the Mid Season Cup and pursue qualification for the MLBB World Championship.

MSC 2026 will be staged as part of the Esports World Cup 2026, linking regional qualification to a larger international event. MOONTON characterized the new regional leagues as a way to increase representation from tier-two countries by creating clearer qualification routes and by providing regional financial and community support.
