Metizport taps Swiss startup Maysun for player health
Metizport signed a multi-year pact with Swiss start-up Maysun as its health and performance partner, providing a science-based program, medical staff and access to Swiss facilities.
Nordic esports organisation Metizport has signed a multi-year partnership with Swiss health and performance start-up Maysun to be its official health and performance partner. The agreement gives Metizport players access to Maysun’s medical team and specialised facilities in Switzerland, while establishing a science-based program across its rosters.
Maysun will run a structured programme focusing on physical recovery, mental conditioning and long-term athlete development. The company’s staff will monitor training load, manage injuries and plan rehabilitation and return-to-play protocols.
The partnership covers Metizport’s professional rosters and community activities. It includes educational content and initiatives intended to promote healthier gaming habits and to provide aspiring players with defined development pathways.
Maysun recently signed a similar multi-year deal with Team Heretics that introduced return-to-play frameworks. At the league level, Riot Games EMEA has worked with Movember to add mental health resources at the LEC and VCT EMEA competition environments.
Metizport has been expanding its performance-focused commercial portfolio. Under Chief Commercial Officer Perry Smith, the organisation named Samsung its official monitor and memory partner and signed with AndaSeat for custom ergonomic furniture.
According to Viktor Bartolomei, Maysun’s CEO: ‘Traditional sports have extended the aging curve through sports science, recovery technology and individualized performance systems. Extending that curve in esports is one of our core goals.’ Metizport Chief Commercial Officer Perry Smith wrote: ‘Supporting our players on and off the server is a core priority. Welcoming Maysun strengthens that commitment and offers our community new ways to engage.’
