ENC finalises 16 LoL national teams; Team GB roster set

ENC finalised 16 national League of Legends teams for the Riyadh finals; top eight go to the Group Stage and next eight to Play-ins. Team GB named a roster for the EUW qualifier June 19–21.
The Esports Nations Cup has finalised 16 national League of Legends teams that receive direct places for the Riyadh finals in November. The top eight of those teams advance directly to the Group Stage, while the teams ranked nine to sixteen receive byes into the Play-ins. Team GB announced a roster and will contest the EUW qualifier on June 19–21 for two Play-in slots.
ENC organisers based direct invites on national scores that track player performances over roughly the past year, using players’ declared nationalities to determine country qualification.
China and South Korea occupy the first two direct-invite positions. China’s list includes Chen “Bin” Ze-Bin, Zhuo “Knight” Ding and Luo “ON” Wen-Jun from BLG, plus Yu “JackeyLove” Wen-Bo and Gao “Tian” Tian-Liang from Top Esports. South Korea’s roster lists Choi “Zeus” Woo-je, Kim “Canyon” Geon-bu, Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok, Lee “Gumayusi” Min-hyeong and Ryu “Keria” Min-seok; Canyon is the only member of the South Korean list who has not played for T1.
France is the third direct invite, naming Adam “Skewmond”, Ilias “nuc” Bizriken, Caliste “Caliste” Henry-Hennebert and Théo “Zoelys” Le Scornec. Vietnam’s selection features Lê “SofM” Quang Duy and Hoàng “Eddie” Công Nghĩa. Brazil includes Arthur “Tutsz” Peixoto Machado and Andrey “Ayu” Saraiva. The United States lists Niship “Dhokla” Doshi, Robert “Blaber” Huang, Eain “APA” Stearns, Sean “Yeon” Sung and Choi “huhi” Jae-hyun. Chinese Taipei’s roster includes Tsai “HongQ” Ming-Hong and Chiu “Doggo” Tzu-Chuan. Denmark names Martin “Wunder” Hansen, Rasmus “Caps” Winther, Jesper “Zven” Svenningsen, Casper “Cboi” Simonsen and Mads “Doss” Schwartz.
The teams seeded ninth through sixteenth, which receive Play-in byes, are Turkey, Greece, Poland, Argentina, Spain, Canada, Sweden and Czechia. Notable players listed among those nations include Marek “Humanoid” Brázda and Matyáš “Carzzy” Orság for Czechia; Spain’s entry contains three members of MKOI plus Víctor “Flakked” Lirola; and Poland’s squad lists Marcin “Jankos” Jankowski and Kacper “Inspired” Słoma with support Adrian “Trymbi” Trybus.
Outside the 16 directly invited teams, 110 invited nations will compete in regional qualifiers for the remaining Play-in berths. Each region receives two Play-in slots, producing a Play-in field of 24 teams. The final two Play-in places are reserved for one Wildcard representative and one host-region team not already qualified.
Team GB announced its national roster for the EUW qualifier as Jordan “Shikari” Pointon, Matthew Luke “Deadly” Smith, Raymond “Kasing” Tsang, Aslan “White” Panglose, a player listed as BZ (unverified), and Ronan “Chemera” Stewart. The coaching staff named Mac, described as a coach of coaches at Vitality, and former professional Maxlore. Team GB will compete in the EUW qualifier from June 19 to 21 for one of two available slots.
Other ENC esports disciplines have already confirmed direct invites for some nations in Rocket League and Rainbow Six Siege. League of Legends and Dota 2 national teams that did not receive direct invites will follow regional qualification paths to reach the Riyadh finals in November.
Earlier, we reported that on June 24, Riot Games will release patch 26.13 to League of Legends live servers, headlined by nerfs to Senna.
