LEC Summer 2026 posts lowest peak viewers since 2024

LEC Summer 2026 peaked at 434,973 viewers during the Grand Final, where G2 Esports defeated KOI 3-0 to win its fourth consecutive LEC title and register its 11th regional crown since 2023.

Viewership tracking recorded the Grand Final peak at 434,973, an 8.13% decline from the 2025 summer split. Average concurrent viewership for the split fell 17.9% compared with LEC Summer 2025. The event ranked as the second-least viewed of the last eight tracked splits, and the past two splits were the only ones in the tracked period with average concurrent viewership below 200,000.

The split concluded at the Riot Games Arena in Berlin. Ten partnered organizations competed across a group stage and playoffs with qualification places for the 2026 League of Legends World Championship at stake. The top three finishers-G2 Esports, Karmine Corp and KOI-qualified for Worlds, which will run from October 15 to November 14 in the United States. Karmine Corp will begin in the Play-In Stage and must advance through three opponents to reach the Swiss Stage.

The number of unique broadcasting channels rose for the split, while several high-profile streamers who had broadcast in 2025 did not livestream the 2026 matches. One notable absence was Sergio “knekro” García, a Spanish KOI content creator. Peak concurrent numbers fell in several non-English broadcasts, including French and German feeds.

Among the six major regional qualifiers for Worlds, the LEC was the second-most watched by peak viewers, behind the LCK. No other circuit had surpassed 200,000 peak viewers at the time, with three regional seasons still ongoing.

Teams finishing fourth and fifth, Natus Vincere and Team Vitality, qualified for the Demacia Cup Global Invitational. That tournament will be held from October 3 to 17, will include 12 top-ranked teams from six major regions that did not qualify for Worlds, and will carry a prize pool of about $223,959. Initial rounds will be played offline before the knockout stage moves to the JD Esports Center in Beijing.
