Vitality defeated Aurora 3-1 in the StarSeries Fall grand final in Barcelona, claiming their first tournament win since May 3.

Mathieu ‘ZywOo’ Herbaut led Vitality with a 1.51 series rating. The team played six maps in one afternoon after beating FURIA in the consolidation final earlier the same day. Vitality had posted inconsistent results this season and had a period of parental leave for William ‘mezii’ Merriman.

On Anubis Vitality reversed an earlier loss to Aurora. Aurora had beaten Vitality 13-7 in a prior meeting, but in the rematch Vitality took a 9-3 lead, aided by an eco-round win in round six. Mezii recorded a 2.24 rating in the first half and Vitality closed the map on the terrorist side.

Inferno went to Aurora after Ali ‘Wicadia’ Haydar Yalçın produced several strong defensive rounds and a three-kill that forced overtime; Inferno was Aurora’s only map win in the final.

Vitality won Mirage 13-4, with ZywOo notable for his decision-making and mechanics. The series concluded on Cache, where ZywOo produced a 1v2 clutch and a three-kill in mid that were among the key moments of the match.
