Karmine Corp Joins Esports World Cup 2026 Partner Roster

Karmine Corp rejoined the Esports Foundation’s Esports World Cup 2026 Club Partner Program, replacing HEROIC after the Norwegian team disbanded its Dota 2 roster.

The Esports Foundation confirmed Karmine Corp’s induction into the Esports World Cup Club Partner Program for the 2026 season, filling a slot left vacant by Norwegian organization HEROIC after it dismantled its Dota 2 roster four days earlier. Karmine returns to the 40-member partner group and will receive base funding, marketing support and access to EWC promotional channels.

The partner package includes baseline funding plus performance-based incentives that can raise a club’s funding up to $1 million through content creation and marketing milestones. Former Karmine Corp CEO Arthur Perticoz previously estimated that clubs outside EWC core membership lose roughly $200,000 to $300,000 in base funding each season. Karmine had been part of the program in 2025; rejoining restores benefits the club briefly lacked.

Last month Kamel “Kameto” Kebir, co-founder and president, outlined cost-cutting plans for 2026 that include reducing merchandise lines, producing fewer high-budget docuseries and trimming administrative spending. The measures were described as intended to stabilize finances in 2026 ahead of planned reinvestment in 2027.

HEROIC lost partner status after dismantling its Dota 2 roster. With Karmine Corp and Team Vitality both in the program, two French clubs are among the 40 EWC partners for 2026.

Karmine Corp’s fanbase, known as the “Blue Wall,” is one of the most active in esports. Industry reports and speculation about the 2026 Esports World Cup host city have increased since the partner change, with some suggesting a possible relocation from Riyadh to Paris because of rising geopolitical tensions in the Middle East.

The Esports World Cup Club Partner Program provides base funding, marketing support and event opportunities intended to help clubs offset operating costs and promote participation in the multi-title festival-style competition.
