Esports Chief Jerome Coupez Joins Le Mans FC Ownership
Esports executive Jerome Coupez wrote on LinkedIn that he joined Le Mans FC’s ownership group via NinetyTwo X after the club secured promotion to Ligue 1 for 2026/27.
Jerome Coupez announced on LinkedIn that he has joined the ownership group of Le Mans FC through NinetyTwo X, days after the club confirmed promotion to Ligue 1 for the 2026/27 season. Le Mans secured second place in Ligue 2 and sealed promotion with a 2–0 win at Bastia on the final day of the season.
The announcement identifies NinetyTwo X as led by Jordi Mora Esteve and advised by Cédric Lefebvre of Sana Advisory. Coupez did not disclose financial terms or the size of his ownership stake in the LinkedIn post.
Coupez is the founder and CEO of Prodigy Agency, an esports talent management company. Prodigy represents players including Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut, a leading Counter-Strike competitor, and Tyson “TenZ” Ngo, a prominent VALORANT player. Before founding Prodigy, Coupez competed in Counter-Strike and worked in esports event management and marketing.
Earlier in 2026, Prodigy merged with Sports Entertainment Group, combining elements of traditional sports and esports talent management under a single structure. Coupez’s résumé also includes roles in motorsport and sports marketing.
Le Mans’ ownership already includes esports-linked investors such as NXTPLAY, co-founded by Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, who joined other international investors in the club’s ownership group. Courtois has invested in sports and gaming projects outside football, including a partnership to open a £1.6 million gaming and sports center in the U.K.
In his LinkedIn post, Coupez wrote he was “proud to become part of the project” and called following Le Mans’ final games of the season “both exciting and stressful.” He did not outline any specific operational responsibilities or plans for integrating esports or digital initiatives with the club’s sporting activities.
The club will compete in Ligue 1 in 2026/27. Details on how new and existing investors will influence Le Mans’ strategy and staffing have not been released.
