Interim IGL ScrunK praises loanee Senzu after IEM Atlanta

Interim IGL Robin “ScrunK” Röpke praised loanee Azbayar “Senzu” Munkhbold’s “champion’s mentality” after BC.Game exited IEM Atlanta following losses to Vitality and B8.

BC.Game used a temporary lineup at IEM Atlanta, bringing on Azbayar “Senzu” Munkhbold on loan and moving assistant coach Robin “ScrunK” Röpke into the in-game leader role. The team was eliminated at the event on May 11-12, 2026, after two straight losses.

The reworked roster lost 2-0 to Vitality in its opening series and was knocked out by B8, also 2-0. The organization had removed António “aragornN” Barbosa and Christopher “MUTiRiS” Fernandes from the starting five ahead of the event.

ScrunK described Senzu as “super nice guy, super humble” and said the player showed a clear winning mindset. He called Senzu’s approach a “champion’s mentality,” noting the rifler was eager in practice and motivated to win.

ScrunK pointed to a poor start on Overpass as a key factor in the opening loss, citing a 13-2 scoreline. He noted the team won the initial pistol round but failed to execute the second round, which affected momentum. Communication problems followed, with players making solo peeks and failing to trade, he added, calling Overpass “an off game” for the squad.

The team focused on communication going into Mirage and improved after halftime, ScrunK reported, but mistakes on CT side and late momentum shifts left the match out of reach. He said the squad only found stronger collective performance in the latter halves of the maps.

On expectations for the event, ScrunK said the lineup’s potential was uncertain given his return to calling after a year away and the short preparation time with higher-tier players. He contrasted leading previous tier-two sides with working alongside star players and said he was still adjusting to the role.

ScrunK also discussed his playing future and roster plans. He set a performance benchmark for his own continued time in the active lineup, saying he needed to reach double-digit kills per map to remain a regular. He added he did not know whether Senzu’s loan would be made permanent; such decisions rest with the organization.

BC.Game plans to use the gap before upcoming events for theory work and to establish communication protocols. ScrunK noted the team had limited practice before Atlanta and listed a China stop and the CAC event later in the year as opportunities to reassess the lineup and prepare further.
