G2 Signs Ukrainian AWPer r1nkle to Active CS:GO Roster

G2 Esports signed Ukrainian AWPer Artem ‘r1nkle’ Moroz from Ninjas in Pyjamas to replace Álvaro ‘SunPayus’ García and will debut him at BLAST Bounty Season 2 on July 21.

G2 Esports has completed the signing of Ukrainian AWPer Artem ‘r1nkle’ Moroz from Ninjas in Pyjamas. The club confirmed r1nkle will join the active roster as the team’s primary sniper ahead of BLAST Bounty Season 2, which begins on July 21. G2 is also scheduled to compete at the $2 million Esports World Cup in Paris in August.

Artem Moroz joined Ninjas in Pyjamas in April 2024 from B8 to replace Daniil ‘headtr1ck’ Valitov. At the start of 2026 he averaged a 1.02 rating against top-50 opponents. Ninjas in Pyjamas later signed Martin ‘stavn’ Lund to the primary AWP role, and that roster change enabled Moroz’s transfer to G2.

G2’s active roster now lists Nemanja ‘huNter-‘ Kovač, Matúš ‘MATYS’ Šimko, Nikita ‘HeavyGod’ Martynenko, Guy ‘NertZ’ Iluz and Artem ‘r1nkle’ Moroz. Eetu ‘sAw’ Saha remains head coach.

Álvaro ‘SunPayus’ García was benched earlier, leaving the AWP position open. G2 considered promoting academy AWPer Klimentii ‘kl1m’ Krivosheev but chose not to; kl1m is on loan at MIBR and that organization continues to pursue a permanent transfer.

G2 expects Nemanja ‘huNter-‘ Kovač and coach Eetu ‘sAw’ Saha to work with r1nkle on his in-game role and consistency. The roster change comes as the team prepares for its summer event schedule, including BLAST Bounty Season 2 and the Esports World Cup in Paris.
