FERJEE launches Rainhas do Clutch women’s CS2 in Rio
FERJEE opened registrations for Rainhas do Clutch 2026, an international women’s Counter-Strike 2 tournament with a BRL 250,000 prize. Online qualifiers run May 19–24; Rio LAN finals June 23–26.
The Rio de Janeiro State Electronic Sports Federation (FERJEE) opened registrations on May 13 for Rainhas do Clutch 2026, the first international edition of a women’s Counter-Strike 2 tournament. The event carries a BRL 250,000 prize pool, with online qualifiers May 19–24 and a LAN final in Rio de Janeiro June 23–26.
The registration window closed May 17. Regional qualifying matches will take place May 19–24 across Europe, North America and South America. Four teams will advance to the Rio LAN: one from Europe, one from North America and two from South America.
The BRL 250,000 prize pool is divided into BRL 150,000 in direct prize money and a BRL 100,000 Club Share program for participating organizations. To claim Club Share funds, organizations must show legal registration and submit formal written player contracts as part of eligibility requirements.
The LAN final will be held at the Marina da Glória event space from June 23–26. The Rio stage is programmed as part of the Energy Summit, a global innovation and technology festival taking place in the city during the same dates.
The tournament follows the suspension of the Impact league by ESL FACEIT Group in 2025, a change that reduced established global competition opportunities for women’s Counter-Strike. Since that suspension, the scene has continued with events run by grassroots organizers and third parties. The not-for-profit Brace For Impact partnered with ESL FACEIT Group to use FACEIT Clubs infrastructure and committed to events across five regions in 2026.
Recent industry activity aimed at inclusive esports includes the launch of eLiga BPI in Portugal, expansion of the League of Legends Game Changers EMEA program and a one-off activation by L’Oréal Paris with FURIA targeting a female audience. Rainhas do Clutch provides an international, prize-backed competition with a defined qualification route and funding conditions for clubs and players.
