FaZe advance as Luminosity exit DraculaN playoffs

FaZe advanced in the DraculaN Season 7 playoffs with a 2-1 win over ASTRAL on Oct. 20. The result kept the tournament’s highest-ranked team in the upper bracket and reduced the playoff field from 16 teams to 12.

FaZe needed overtime to win the deciding Cache map. Jason “JBOEN” Boe Nielsen led the team in the final map. FaZe will face JiJieHao on Oct. 21. A top-four finish at DraculaN and a place in the final three at the RLG Tesla Cup would secure FaZe a place at the PGL Major Singapore.

Envy opened the playoffs with a 2-0 loss to BASEMENT BOYS and dropped to the lower bracket. The French team stayed in the tournament by beating INFINITE 2-0. Envy will play the loser of FaZe and JiJieHao on Oct. 21. A deep run at both DraculaN and the RLG Tesla Cup would be needed for Envy to qualify for Singapore.

Luminosity lost 2-1 to Nexus before falling 2-0 to BBL in the lower bracket. The results ended Luminosity’s DraculaN campaign. The team now needs to win the RLG Tesla Cup to retain a realistic chance of reaching the Major, where FaZe, B8, GamerLegion and Envy are among the teams in contention.

BC.Game beat BBL 2-0, with Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev and his teammates advancing in the upper bracket. BC.Game will face Nexus on Oct. 21 in a match that can send the winner to the next stage. The team also needs The MongolZ and TYLOO to drop points while continuing to win its own matches.

The Oct. 21 schedule includes upper-bracket matches between SINNERS and HEROIC, FaZe and JiJieHao, BASEMENT BOYS and Eternal Fire, and BC.Game and Nexus. Lower-bracket matches will feature SAW, Iberian Soul, Envy and BBL, along with the losers of the upper-bracket matches.
