Global Esports will leave competitive esports after the 2026 season, release its VALORANT roster and rebrand as GE Studios. The new company will focus on artificial intelligence.
The Indian organization made the announcement after its strongest VALORANT season. Global Esports won VCT Pacific 2026 Stage 2, qualified for an international Masters event and competed at VALORANT Champions 2026. Its players are now free agents, and some have reportedly received offers from other teams.
Founder and CEO Rushindra Sinha told Riot Games in November 2025 that 2026 would likely be the organization’s final year in esports. “2026 was more than likely going to be our last year in esports,” he said.
GE Studios will focus on projects using artificial intelligence. Sinha has not provided details about its products or plans. “Everything we’ve done in the last decade is now going to be powered and amplified with AI,” he said.
Global Esports’ departure will end India and South Asia’s representation among VCT Pacific’s partnered organizations. Riot Games plans to replace the current league structure with a tournament-based format in 2027 and limit the Pacific region to eight partnered teams.
The 2027 format will give non-partnered teams a route to international events. Teams from India and South Asia will compete with organizations from across Asia and Oceania for available places.
Sentinels and LOUD have confirmed that they intend to remain partnered organizations for the 2027 season.
