Global Esports, Full Sense Qualify for VALORANT Masters London

Global Esports beat Paper Rex 2–1 and Full Sense swept T1 2–0 in VCT Pacific Stage 1 semis on May 8; both teams advance to VALORANT Masters London.

Global Esports ended a nine-match losing run to Paper Rex with a 2–1 victory in the VCT Pacific Stage 1 upper-bracket semi-final on May 8 in Ho Chi Minh City. Full Sense defeated T1 2–0 in the other semi. Both winners secured berths at VALORANT Masters London in June.

Global Esports won the opening map, Breeze, 13–9. Paper Rex answered on Lotus with a 13–6 win to force a decider on Pearl. GE led 9–3 at halftime on Pearl and closed the map 13–5. GE finished the group stage 3–2 and opened the playoffs with a 2–0 win over RRQ. The club will attend its first VALORANT Masters event and is the first Indian esports organization to qualify for a Masters tournament.

Head coach Hector ‘FrosT’ Rosario said the repeated matchups with Paper Rex shaped the team’s preparation, noting ‘We played Paper Rex four times already. That is a full season worth of games against the best team in the world. Meanwhile, other teams don’t have to go through that gauntlet, but we persevered.’ GE added Patrick ‘PatMen’ Mendoza to the roster before the season; Mendoza faced his former team in the semi-final.

Full Sense took its semi-final against T1 in straight maps, winning the first 13–9 and taking Lotus 13–8. Full Sense entered the event after Riot Games removed Talon Esports’ VCT slot for financial mismanagement; Full Sense took the slot in December and finished the group stage 3–2. The team beat Kiwoom DRX 2–0 in its opening playoff match. Full Sense is the only all-Thai roster in VCT Pacific and this will be its first international LAN appearance since 2021.

Papaphat ‘primmie’ Sriprapha led Full Sense statistically in Stage 1, with an average combat score of 272.3, average damage per round of 172, a 1.42 kill/death ratio and 0.95 kills per round. Primmie and teammates Crws and JitboyS previously played together under Talon and remained a core after the organization’s slot was removed.

Masters London runs June 6–21 at the Copper Box Arena. The event features 12 teams and a $1 million prize pool; the champion receives $350,000 and eight VCT points toward Champions Shanghai. The VCT Pacific upper-bracket final between Global Esports and Full Sense takes place May 15 at Thiskyhall Sala Convention Center in Ho Chi Minh City. The winner earns a bye into the Masters playoffs; the loser drops to the lower bracket but retains a path to London through the remaining Pacific playoff matches.
