Valorant patch 13.00 adds Summit map, retake mode, agent changes

Riot Games released Valorant Patch 13.00, adding the Summit map, a Retake mode, and global agent balance changes that raise the value of information and reinforce Sentinel site defense.
Riot Games released Valorant Patch 13.00 for its tactical shooter, adding the Summit map and a Retake mode alongside global agent balance updates. The patch aims to raise the value of tactical information and reduce the penalty for early-round ability use.
Sentinel kits were adjusted to make site defense more reliable and to let players reposition traps during rounds. The changes increase counterplay against site executions attempted without prior reconnaissance.
Several Sentinels received direct updates. Killjoy’s Turret now fires 50% faster and Alarmbot moves 50% faster, and Nanoswarm lasts five seconds instead of four. Sage’s Healing Orb now restores 100 HP when self-cast, up from 50. Veto’s Interceptor recall cooldown drops to 20 seconds from 30, Crosscut’s range extends to 30 meters from 24, and its activation time after deployment is reduced to 0.75 seconds. Cypher’s Trapwire deploys in 0.7 seconds, down from 0.9. Deadlock’s GravNet cooldown falls to 50 seconds from 60.
To streamline information gathering against fortified sites, key Initiator cooldowns were shortened. The signature abilities for Sova (Recon Bolt), Fade (Haunt), Skye (Guiding Light), Breach (Fault Line), and KAY/O (ZERO/POINT) move from 60 to 50 seconds. Gekko’s cooldown after retrieving his companions is now 15 seconds, down from 20. Tejo is the only Initiator without a balance change in this patch.
Patch 13.00 adds the new Summit map and introduces Retake as a separate mode. The update is intended to reward teams that gather and act on intel and to improve the reliability of defensive setups across sites.
