BLAST confirmed a restructure resulting in a limited number of redundancies in the UK and Denmark. The company did not disclose the number affected or address payment-delay allegations.
BLAST has confirmed an organisational restructuring that resulted in a limited number of redundancies across its operations in the United Kingdom and Denmark. The tournament operator did not disclose how many employees were affected.
The company recently introduced a revised internal structure to support growth from 2027 and expand its global operations. The structure is intended to help BLAST deliver events across multiple game titles with its commercial partners.
BLAST confirmed the redundancies after Counter-Strike analyst and commentator Chad “SPUNJ” Burchill raised questions about staff layoffs and possible delays in payments to contractors and employees. BLAST did not address the payment allegations.
The restructuring follows BLAST’s reported financial growth. The company recorded $133 million in revenue during its 2025 financial year, a 40% increase from the previous year, while remaining profitable on an annual basis.
BLAST has established a North American headquarters in Brooklyn, New York, to oversee its commercial operations in the region. Its commercial partners include Michelin, Progressive Insurance, Razer, Sargento, Polymarket and EFM Global.
The company operates the BLAST Premier Counter-Strike 2 circuit and manages Fortnite and Rocket League Championship Series competitions in partnership with Epic Games. It also works with Ubisoft on the Rainbow Six Siege circuit and with Supercell on Brawl Stars events.
BLAST’s Counter-Strike business received further exposure through the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025, which generated a reported $102 million in direct economic impact.
