Esports Foundation taps OBSBOT for EWC 2026 cameras

The Esports Foundation has named OBSBOT its Official Camera and Webcam Partner for the Esports World Cup 2026 in Paris. More than 500 OBSBOT cameras will be deployed across the event’s four competition stages and the Fan Fest to support tournament broadcasts, creator productions, player interviews, coach and trainer footage, and live event coverage. Additional units will be used for interactive demonstrations and creator-focused activities during the festival.

Organisers said the cameras will be installed across the EWC 2026 site to supply broadcast feeds and capture behind-the-scenes content. The same OBSBOT models used at the event are commercially available to streamers, content creators and esports clubs, enabling teams and independent producers to use the tournament hardware.

Mohammad Al Nimer, the Esports Foundation’s chief commercial officer, said: “Fans don’t just want to watch the action, they want to experience the emotion, intensity and personality that define every match.” Liu Bo, OBSBOT’s CEO, added that intelligent imaging technology gives creators and production teams greater freedom to capture defining moments.

The partnership follows OBSBOT’s role as the Official Livestream Camera and Webcam Partner at the Esports World Cup 2025 in Riyadh. OBSBOT has also partnered with esports organisations including NRG, where it became the official camera partner for the VALORANT roster; Alliance, supplying point-of-view and backstage equipment; and Wildcard Gaming as that team’s official camera and webcam partner.

Organisers said the deployment is intended to expand available camera angles and content formats to support both large-scale broadcast operations and smaller creator-driven productions. Specific camera models, exact placement within venues and installation schedules have not been disclosed. The Esports World Cup 2026 is scheduled to take place in Paris in summer 2026.
