Coinbase to host Mundo Dodgeball tourney with 1 BTC prize

Coinbase announced a 1v1 Mundo Dodgeball tournament that will award a top prize of 1 Bitcoin and tickets to the League of Legends Worlds 2026 finals in New York City. The event will stage open qualifiers across Europe and North America and a live final in New York.

The competition is divided into two parallel paths. One is an invitational Creators Cup featuring established streamers. The other is an open qualifier bracket available to any eligible player in North America or Europe. Champions from the NA and EU open qualifiers will earn spots in the New York finals and receive two tickets each to the Worlds 2026 finals. The top two finishers from both the NA and EU Creators Cups will also qualify for the New York finals and receive two tickets each.

The overall tournament winner will receive 1 Bitcoin, valued at roughly $85,000 at the time of the announcement. Prize distribution beyond the top reward will include the Worlds tickets awarded to qualifier and Creators Cup finishers who reach the finals.

Match play uses the custom Mundo Dodgeball rules. Two players face off as Dr. Mundo on opposite sides of the Baron pit, separated by a line of wards acting as a net. Competitors may use only Mundo’s Q ability as an offensive tool, may buy boots only, and are allowed a single use of the Flash summoner spell per match. Early rounds are best-of-three; semifinals and the final are best-of-five.

Coinbase confirmed participation from creators including Tyler1, Pobelter, Alois_NL and Skyyart. Open qualifiers are open for registration on the tournament’s official sign-up page. The New York finals will determine the tournament champion and the recipient of the Bitcoin prize.
