Brollan: HEROIC offer gave me a refreshing start

Ludvig Brolin (Brollan) joined HEROIC a week before Stake Ranked Episode 3 and played the event as a rifler after departing MOUZ. The appearance was his first tier-two LAN since 2022 and his first LAN in Counter-Strike 2.

Brolin stepped back from in-game leadership after 18 months at MOUZ and is being used by HEROIC as a lurker and occasional anchor on certain maps.

HEROIC had only five or six days of practice together before the event and arrived without a dedicated practice room or team PCs. Brolin noted those limits made it hard to adapt and to introduce new tactics during the tournament, and he said in-game communication was affected.

HEROIC reached the upper-bracket final at Stake Ranked Episode 3 after a close series against Phantom. Brolin described the match as scrappy and expressed relief at advancing despite the practical constraints.

MOUZ informed Brolin it would move in a different direction after the Major. Brolin credited HEROIC’s offer and the organization’s stability for his decision, noting that budget limits and roster choices reduced other options.

Brolin added he is working to regain the discipline he had in a more structured environment at MOUZ, aiming to reduce frustration in hectic situations as the team settles into its roles. The squad plans to reassess roles and strategies once it returns to more regular practice conditions.

Brolin praised HEROIC’s young in-game leader Chr1zN for his potential and has been providing feedback on fundamentals such as freeze times and midround play while collaborating with the coaching staff.

HEROIC’s immediate schedule includes further matches at Stake Ranked and an upcoming BLAST event. Brolin expects the team to get more practice time after the current stretch of tournaments and to continue adjusting roles and tactics.
