BMPS 2026 format sends 16 of 64 teams to Jaipur

Qualifiers May 6–31 cut 64 invited teams to 16 Grand Finalists who will compete in Jaipur June 19–21 for a prize pool over ₹2 crore and an Esports World Cup slot.

The Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series 2026 runs May 6 to June 21 and features 64 invited teams. The winner receives a direct slot at the Esports World Cup 2026 in Riyadh and the prize pool currently exceeds ₹2 crore. India has two EWC slots for 2026; how the second will be assigned has not been confirmed.

The event begins with the Qualifiers from May 6–31. Teams are seeded based on results from prior official events and divided into four groups of 16, labelled A through D. Qualifiers consist of four rounds, each with six matches played across Erangel, Miramar and Rondo, so every team plays 24 matches in total.

After each six-match round the groups are reorganized. The top four teams from Groups B, C and D move up one group, and the bottom four teams from Groups A, B and C move down one group. The system reshuffles teams after every round, requiring steady results across the full Qualifiers schedule to reach Group A.

When the Qualifiers end, final placings determine the next stage. The top eight teams in Group A qualify directly for the Grand Finals. The bottom eight in Group A and the top eight in Group B advance to the Semifinals. Teams ranked 25th to 56th enter the Survival Stage. The bottom eight in Group D are eliminated.

The Survival Stage runs June 2–5 with 32 teams in a 12-match round robin. The top eight teams from that stage advance to the Semifinals; the other 24 teams are eliminated.

Semifinals take place June 9–12 with 24 teams: eight relegated from Group A, eight promoted from Group B and eight advancing from the Survival Stage. The format is a double round robin with 16 matches per team. The top six teams advance to the Grand Finals. Teams finishing seventh through 22nd move to the Last Chance stage, and the bottom two are eliminated.

Last Chance is scheduled for June 13–14. Sixteen teams play 12 matches and the top two teams earn the final Grand Finals berths; the remaining teams are eliminated.

The Grand Finals run June 19–21 in Jaipur with 16 teams: eight direct qualifiers from the Qualifiers, six from the Semifinals and two from Last Chance. The Finals include 18 matches over three days, with six matches per day. The team with the highest point total after 18 matches wins the title, the champion’s share of the prize pool and one of India’s EWC slots.

Teams entering BMPS 2026 include Team SouL, the BGIS 2026 champions; Genesis Esports, BGIS runners-up; and Orangutan, who placed third at BGIS. GodLike Esports have a retooled roster following Jonathan’s departure. Jonathan left to found Team Apex Gaming, which fielded a lineup including Jelly, Hydro, Harsh and KioLmao. Victores Sumus are also among the invited teams.

BMPS 2026 is the second-largest BGMI event on Krafton India’s 2026 esports calendar and serves as a primary route for Indian teams seeking a spot at the Esports World Cup.
