Arc Raiders Tops 16M Copies, Drives Nexon Q1 Revenue
Arc Raiders sold more than 16 million copies, lifted Nexon’s Q1 revenue to ¥59.3 billion and won China ISBN approval with Tencent-run closed betas planned for 2026.
Nexon reported that Arc Raiders has sold over 16 million copies worldwide, including 4.6 million units in the first quarter of 2026. The publisher said the game reached 15.5 million copies by the end of Q1 before surpassing the 16 million mark. Arc Raiders launched on October 30, 2025, at $39.99 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
The game contributed to Nexon’s consolidated revenue of ¥59.3 billion, about $409 million, in Q1 2026, a year-over-year increase of 188 percent. Overseas revenue rose 59 percent, and revenue in North America and Europe more than quadrupled year over year. Nexon attributed much of the regional growth to Arc Raiders and other recent releases.
Player engagement metrics included more than 1.5 billion hours of total playtime across platforms. The company reported that more than half of active players have logged over 100 hours in the game. Nexon also confirmed Arc Raiders has consistently ranked among Steam’s most-played titles since launch.
Nexon said Arc Raiders has secured ISBN approval from China’s State Administration of Press and Publication, a regulatory clearance required before a game can operate and generate revenue in mainland China. The company plans to run multiple closed beta tests in China in 2026 through publisher Tencent as it prepares for a wider rollout.
The publisher outlined a large content update named Frozen Trail, planned for October 2026. Nexon described Frozen Trail as the biggest update since launch and said it will add the game’s largest map, new ARC machine enemies with redesigned behaviors, expanded progression systems and improvements to the skill tree. The update will also introduce new items, new in-game goals and additional progression options for players who reached the current skill point limit.
Nexon said Frozen Trail will begin to explore the origins of ARC, providing more narrative context to the game’s overarching mystery. The company indicated the update is intended to re-engage players who completed original content and to attract new players.
Nexon’s earnings report included an update from partner studio Embark Studios that two unannounced games are in early development. The publisher added that those projects are expected to take several years to reach release; no names, genres or release schedules were provided.
Nexon reported the sales and engagement figures for Arc Raiders as a central factor in its improved Q1 results and outlined plans for China testing and a major October content update.
