Wildcard Major odds fall to 24% after FOX Legacy exit

Wildcard’s projected chance of qualifying for the PGL Singapore Major dropped from 39% to 24% after the team finished 5th–6th at FOX Legacy Season 1 in Portugal. The North American side opened the playoffs with a loss to Nice Try, dropped to the lower bracket, beat EAC, and were eliminated 2–0 by INFINITE, leaving a 1–2 series record for the event. Mischief’s projections show the result reduced the ranking points Wildcard carried into the Major race.

Nice Try is ranked 115th in the Valve Regional Standings. Losing the upper-bracket match to that lower-ranked opponent reduced the amount of ranking points Wildcard could count on when projections were recalculated.

Wildcard entered FOX Legacy after finishing second at iBUYPOWER Masters FML 2026, behind Liquid. FOX Legacy was the first of three planned LAN events for the roster following FML 2026; two events remain on their schedule.

Wildcard’s next events are FRAG University and FiRe Last Chance. Mischief’s projections estimate that finishing in the top eight at both events would raise Wildcard’s Major chances to about 55%. A tournament win at FRAG University is projected to increase their probability to roughly 74%. A title at FiRe Last Chance is projected to lift their chances to about 89% because that event is expected to feature a stronger field and award more ranking points.

Ranking points from LAN finishes are a primary factor in the Major qualification model used in these projections. Losses to lower-ranked teams reduce the number of points a roster can count on when the system updates odds. With a current projection of 24%, Wildcard’s position in the Major race now depends on their results at FRAG University and FiRe Last Chance.

Wildcard’s remaining schedule places emphasis on earning ranking points at the two upcoming LANs. A deep run at FiRe Last Chance is projected to have the largest single impact on their Major qualification probability, while consistent top-eight finishes at both events would materially increase their odds.
