MongolZ sign nin9, restore cobrazera to starting five

MongolZ signed Yesuntumur “nin9” Gantulga from The Huns and reinstated Anarbileg “cobrazera” Uuganbayar to the starting lineup, benching Zolbayar “tikuak” Chimedtseren and Dugarsuren “DarkMeister” Ireedui.
The MongolZ completed the signing of 28-year-old Yesuntumur “nin9” Gantulga and reinstated Anarbileg “cobrazera” Uuganbayar to the starting lineup, the club confirmed on October 1. The changes remove Zolbayar “tikuak” Chimedtseren and Dugarsuren “DarkMeister” Ireedui from the active five and place them on the bench.
Nin9 joins from The Huns and returns to MongolZ after a previous spell with the organization in 2018. Cobrazera returns to the active roster after nearly three months on the bench and appeared earlier this season as a stand-in for Sodbayar “Techno” Munkhbold at FISSURE Playground 3.
The new starting five will be Garidmagnai “bLitz” Byambasuren, Usukhbayar “910” Banzragch, Sodbayar “Techno” Munkhbold, Anarbileg “cobrazera” Uuganbayar and Yesuntumur “nin9” Gantulga, with Erdenedalai “maaRaa” Bayanbat serving as coach. Tikuak and DarkMeister move to reserve status.
Nin9 reunites with teammates he played alongside on the IHC roster that in 2022 became the first Mongolian team to qualify for a Major. Techno and bLitz were members of that IHC lineup and maaRaa was the coach; that squad finished 0-3 in the Challengers Stage in Antwerp.
MongolZ are ranked 48th in the world and hold the No. 2 position in Asia. The updated roster is scheduled to make its debut at 1win Private Club Season 2, a $100,000 LAN event in Belgrade from October 19-22, and will also compete at PGL Masters Bucharest from October 24-31.
The club has made several roster changes this year in response to inconsistent results. Club officials cited nin9’s prior experience with MongolZ and his familiarity with members of the current lineup as reasons for the signing.
