MongolZ close to signing Huns veteran nin9

Multiple people with knowledge of the situation confirmed Yesuntumur nin9 Gantulga, 28, is the frontrunner to fill The MongolZ’s final active roster spot after a short trial with the team. The club could announce the signing together with the return of Anarbileg cobrazera Uuganbayar.

Nin9 did not play for the Huns in their ESN Fall Showdown match against 1337 and is not listed for the Huns’ upcoming match against 5star. He has been trialing with The MongolZ as the club evaluates options to complete its lineup.

The MongolZ, who won the 2025 EWC title, have operated with three active players since mid-September. Zolbayar tikuak Chimedtseren and Dugarsuren DarkMeister Ireedui were moved to the bench after two months with the team. Two weeks after being benched, tikuak left The MongolZ and returned to Chinggis Warriors. Management has used temporary arrangements while seeking a permanent fifth player.

Anarbileg cobrazera Uuganbayar, 21, has been expected back in the starting lineup and already filled in at FISSURE Playground 3, replacing Sodbayar Techno Munkhbold. The MongolZ trialed several candidates for the final slot, including nin9, Maks laxiee Andryei and academy prospect Bayarbat M4k Tugs-Erdene, before narrowing their choice.

Nin9 has prior ties to the club and coaching staff. He helped the IHC roster qualify for the Antwerp Major in 2022 alongside Garidmagnai bLitz Byambasuren, Techno and coach Erdenedalai maaRaa Bayanbat. He also had a previous stint with The MongolZ from May to August 2018, when maaRaa was on the roster.

If the signing is completed, The MongolZ’s active roster would list Garidmagnai bLitz Byambasuren, Usukhbayar 910 Banzragch, Sodbayar Techno Munkhbold, Anarbileg cobrazera Uuganbayar and Yesuntumur nin9 Gantulga, with Erdenedalai maaRaa Bayanbat as coach and Dugarsuren DarkMeister Ireedui remaining on the bench. Team officials have not issued a formal announcement; confirmation may follow.
