Valve October VRS: Spirit Holds No.1, Legacy Climbs to No.2

Valve released its October VRS standings, with Spirit retaining No.1 and Legacy rising to No.2; the ranking decides invites to BLAST Rivals S2 and PGL Bucharest 2027.

Valve published its October update to the Valve Regional Standings on Monday. Spirit remained at the top of the global table while Legacy moved up to second after winning FISSURE Playground 3. Valve posted the global order through 30th place.

The standings assign direct invitations for two upcoming international events. BLAST Rivals 2026 Season 2, scheduled for November 9-15, will grant eight global spots to its main event based on the VRS. PGL Bucharest 2027, set for January 17-24, will award 14 global main-event spots and six European slots that feed into the European closed qualifier.

October’s list also showed G2 returning to the top five following a strong month of results. Astralis re-entered the top 10 for the first time since June. The published board reflects recent tournament finishes and regional performances used to calculate VRS points.

Teams that do not receive direct global invites can pursue qualification through regional open events, closed qualifiers and other tournament pathways established by event organizers. The monthly VRS update clarifies which organizations secure immediate entry and which must attempt qualification.

Valve updates the Regional Standings each month by aggregating results from sanctioned events. Tournament partners use the standings to allocate invites and structure qualifiers, making the monthly releases a reference point for teams planning schedules and targeting event entry.
