Team Liquid Alienware reclaims 2026 LCS crown

Team Liquid Alienware beat LYON 3-1 in the 2026 LCS Summer Split Grand Final. Jungler Brandon ‘Josedeodo’ Villegas was named series MVP.

Team Liquid Alienware defeated LYON 3-1 in the 2026 LCS Summer Split Grand Final to win the league title. Jungler Brandon ‘Josedeodo’ Villegas received the series MVP award.

The win is Team Liquid’s first regional crown of the season. Top laner Park ‘Morgan’ Ru-han won his first regional title in his debut year in the LCS. Mid laner Lim ‘Quid’ Hyeon-seung and Josedeodo added an LCS championship to earlier regional titles they earned during the league’s prior configuration.

Earlier in the year, Team Liquid qualified for the inaugural First Stand event after defeating 100 Thieves in Split 1. The team later returned to international competition at the 2026 Mid-Season Invitational and were eliminated by T1 in the Play-In Stage while competing for a place in the main event.

With the Summer Split result, Team Liquid takes the LCS first seed for the 2026 League of Legends World Championship. LYON will represent the region as the second seed. Cloud9 finished third in the split and will enter the Worlds Play-In Stage to qualify for the main event. The 2026 World Championship will be held across several cities in the United States.

Individual performances shaped the Grand Final. Josedeodo delivered ganks, coordinated objective control and contributed in team fights across the series. Morgan maintained lane pressure and consistent presence in side lanes, while Quid contributed in the mid lane and influenced draft choices during the series.

Team Liquid will begin preparations for the World Championship following the Summer Split.
