T1 Extends CEO Joe Marsh’s Contract Through 2029

T1’s board approved an initial reappointment on March 16 and ratified the executive resolution on April 3, extending Joe Marsh’s term as CEO and inside director through March 30, 2029.

Marsh became T1’s CEO in October 2019 after a structural merger between SK Telecom and Comcast Spectacor formed T1 Entertainment & Sports. Before joining T1’s leadership, he served as chief business officer for the Overwatch League franchise Philadelphia Fusion.

T1 reported a positive operating profit for 2025. Merchandise sales-jerseys, team apparel and branded items-totaled about ₩74.13 billion (roughly $48.93 million). Sponsorship and advertising revenue, including agreements with fashion brand ABLY and Red Sea Global, contributed about ₩14.51 billion (about $9.58 million).

The board referenced both competitive results and commercial performance when advancing the reappointment. Since Marsh’s appointment, T1 reached four League of Legends World Championship final appearances, including a three-peat championship run.

Marsh has overseen growth in sponsorships, merchandise and licensing while managing the team’s operations in the League of Legends Champions Korea circuit. The extension keeps T1’s current leadership in place as the organisation pursues partnerships, licensing and competition at the top levels of professional League of Legends.

No public statement from Marsh or the board accompanied the resolution dates. The contract extension is effective immediately and runs through March 30, 2029.
