SINNERS’ stressarN: ‘Never been happier’ after Major invite
Jordan ‘stressarN’ Manevski said he was ‘never happier’ after SINNERS secured a spot at the Cologne Major; all five players will make Major debuts.
SINNERS secured a spot at the Cologne Major on Tuesday, with all five roster members set to make their Major debuts. The international squad earned an invite at the cut-off after sitting out the final days of the VRS frenzy, leaving their place dependent on other results.
At the IEM Cologne media day, Jordan “stressarN” Manevski cited steady improvement across the season as the basis for the qualification. He noted wins at lower-tier LAN events and pointed to the BC.Game Masters title, where SINNERS defeated higher-ranked opponents including G2.
Manevski described the recent EM Atlanta event as a short preparation that gave several players their first tier-one LAN experience. He said the trip helped the team understand how top-level events operate and that lessons from Atlanta will be applied in Cologne.
He recalled watching the decisive qualifying matches with friends and becoming emotional when the berth became certain. “I was just so happy and I started to cry that we even qualified for the Major,” Manevski recalled, and he thanked BIG for results that secured SINNERS’ place.
Manevski outlined his own progression since signing for SINNERS, tracing a path from regional leagues to international play and LANs over about a year. He mentioned conversations with teammate kisserek about getting younger players to a Major after previous near misses.
SINNERS will open their Major campaign against FlyQuest, an Australian side the team has rarely faced. Manevski stressed that every match in the best-of-one Swiss stage matters and set the team’s target as reaching Stage 2.
He warned against complacency after qualification and said the squad will continue preparing rather than treating the Major as an endpoint.
