Red Bull named beverage partner for Norway esports leagues

Skagerrak Technologies named Red Bull its primary partner and official beverage supplier for Komplettligaen and Bedriftsligaen, two of Norway’s largest competitive gaming circuits.

Skagerrak described the agreement as connecting Red Bull with both elite national competition and a growing corporate esports league. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Skagerrak operates the gaming publication Gamer.no and runs the country’s national and corporate league properties. The company recently finalised a multi-year title sponsorship with Komplett.no that rebranded the national tournament bracket.

Komplettligaen features competitive play in Counter-Strike 2, League of Legends, PUBG, Fortnite and VALORANT. Bedriftsligaen serves as a corporate wellness and workplace engagement platform and includes Chess, Geoguessr and Age of Empires 2 alongside traditional esports titles.

Red Bull will be the visible beverage partner across events and on-site activations. Skagerrak described the partnership as part of a strategy linking corporate-tier activations to elite regional divisions to generate steady, multi-layered advertising returns and reduce the financial volatility tied to owning international tier-one teams.

Steffen Willumsen, commercial director at Skagerrak Technologies, called the agreement ‘a milestone for Norwegian esports, for Skagerrak Technologies, and for everyone who wants to see gaming and esports get the place it deserves.’ He added that the framework for Norwegian players to excel internationally is stronger now and that employers are expanding workplace offerings to include esports and other games.

Further details on Red Bull’s commercial rights, on-site activations and the length of the partnership were not made public.
