Ninjas in Pyjamas rally to beat magic in Spain final

Ninjas in Pyjamas rallied from a 3–8 deficit on the Mirage decider to beat magic 2–1 and claim the Stake Ranked Episode 2 title in Spain, earning the $25,000 grand prize. The victory avenged an earlier loss to the Russophone side in the upper-bracket final.

The event took place in Spain from May 27 to May 30, 2026. Ninjas in Pyjamas opened with a 2–0 win over HEROIC on May 27 and followed with a 2–0 victory against Sharks on May 28. On May 29 they lost 0–2 to magic in the upper-bracket final and moved to the lower bracket. On May 30 NIP eliminated FaZe 2–0 to set up the grand final rematch with magic.

In the best-of-three final, NIP dropped the first map, won the second, and recovered from a 3–8 deficit on the Mirage decider to complete the comeback and secure the series 2–1. The result awarded Ninjas in Pyjamas the tournament trophy and the $25,000 first prize.

magic entered Stake Ranked Episode 2 after finishing fourth at PGL Astana. Ninjas in Pyjamas had finished last at the CS Asia Championships, losing to B8 and Lynn Vision. NIP arrived at the Spanish event ranked 35th in the Valve Regional Standings among attendees, the second-lowest ranking in the field ahead of Sharks.

Ninjas in Pyjamas’ lower-bracket path included consecutive 2–0 wins over FaZe and earlier opponents, culminating in the Mirage comeback that decided the final.
