MOUZ beat MIBR for bronze in Shanghai; xertioN shines

MOUZ defeated MIBR on Overpass in the third-place match at the CAC in Shanghai, securing third place and an additional $40,000 in prize money over MIBR.

Dorian “xertioN” Berman led MOUZ across the series with 33 kills, a 112.9 ADR and a 1.94 series rating. His event rating stands at 1.28, and his rating since becoming MOUZ’s in-game leader last month is 1.31, including a 1.55 rating on the CT side.

Justinas “jL” Lekavicius posted 31 kills and a team-high 133 ADR, producing a dominant T-side first half on Overpass. Adrian “xelex” Vincze finished 26-15 with an 86.9 ADR and a 1.36 rating. Ádám “torzsi” Torzsás ended 22-10 with a 79.3 ADR and a 1.34 rating. Lotan “Spinx” Giladi closed the match with 22 kills, a 68.0 ADR, a 100% KAST and a 1.26 rating.

MIBR’s top statistical performer in the match was Felipe “insani” Yuji, who finished 16-28 with a 78.5 ADR and a 0.81 rating. Linus “LNZ” Holtäng went 12-27 with a 55.9 ADR and a 0.65 rating. Breno “brnz4n” Poletto was 14-25 (53.6 ADR, 0.61 rating), Carlos “venomzera” Eduardo was 15-27 (51.8 ADR, 0.61 rating) and Klimentii “kl1m” Krivosheev finished 12-27 with a 43.6 ADR and a 0.59 rating.

The result leaves MOUZ fifth in the VRS standings. Justinas “jL” Lekavicius will return to Natus Vincere as a substitute for the upcoming Major; the match in Shanghai was his last appearance for MOUZ before that assignment. MOUZ recorded ten wins with the current lineup in the two weeks prior to the event, a point highlighted by the team after the match.

Ádám “torzsi” Torzsás reflected after the match: “We got ten wins with the new lineup in the last two weeks, and we’re proud of that.” He added praise for teammates: “I’m really happy with what Justin and Adrian showed. I think they are great players.” Torzsás also said roster plans remained unclear following the event.
