Mecka AI recruits gamers at League of Legends Worlds final

Mecka AI will host 30 highly ranked gamers at the League of Legends World Championship final in Brooklyn on Nov. 14, seeking technical hires through esports.

Mecka AI, a physical AI data and deployment company, has reserved the main ownership suite at Barclays Center for the League of Legends World Championship final on Nov. 14, 2026. The company plans to invite 30 software engineers, researchers and technical operators with top ranks or verified achievements in competitive games.

Mecka AI will assess candidates by competitive rank before reviewing their resumes. Selected applicants will receive Qatar Airways VIP access, private box seating and opportunities to meet company executives during the match.

Applicants must show exceptional performance in League of Legends or another competitive title. Mecka AI says high-level gaming can reflect problem-solving, spatial reasoning, quick decision-making and discipline in high-pressure situations.

Co-founder Jason Chong previously reached the top 50 of League of Legends’ Challenger ranking. The campaign is intended to reach technical candidates through esports communities rather than conventional recruitment channels.

Other companies use competitive gaming in recruitment and training programs. German rail operator Deutsche Bahn has run its DB Esports Scholarship with the esports player foundation since 2022.

The scholarship supports dual-study students and trainees who compete in League of Legends, VALORANT, Counter-Strike 2, EA FC and Brawl Stars. Participants receive professional coaching, sports psychology support and gaming hardware.
