Luminosity benches Bymas after back-to-back last-place finishes

Luminosity has benched Aurimas “Bymas” Pipiras after the international squad placed last at XSE Pro League Guangzhou and the Esports World Cup in consecutive events.
Luminosity announced it has moved Aurimas “Bymas” Pipiras to a non-active role after the international roster finished last at XSE Pro League Guangzhou and then at the Esports World Cup. The results came in two consecutive official events.
The Brazilian organization re-entered Counter-Strike in July by signing the former Monte quartet and adding Lucas “lux” Meneghini as in-game leader. The team competed at the Cologne Major earlier while still working with coach Jack “Gizmy” von Spreckelsen; results declined after the leadership reshuffle.
On X, Bymas thanked Luminosity and his teammates and addressed his recent form. “I’m very grateful for the opportunity to represent such an organization and I really wish the guys nothing but the best going forward. These guys were like family to me and I genuinely enjoyed spending time with all of them,” he wrote. He added, “As for me, I’m disappointed that I couldn’t perform at the level I wanted to in officials lately. I’m going to work hard to become the player I know I can be.”
Luminosity’s active roster now lists Aleks “Rainwaker” Petrov, Aurélien “afro” Drapier, Lucas “lux” Meneghini and Oscar “AZUWU” Bell, with Bymas moved off the active lineup. The organization did not provide further details about a permanent replacement or a timeline for roster changes.
The benching follows the July roster signings and the internal leadership change to lux. The club’s results at the two recent events contrast with its earlier performance at the Cologne Major while working with coach Gizmy.
