LOS Top Laner Zest Fined After Middle-Finger Gesture

LOS top laner Kim ‘Zest’ Dong-min was fined at least R$5,000 after making a middle-finger gesture following LOS’s 3-2 CBLOL win over LOUD. LOS offered to cover the fine.

Kim “Zest” Dong-min, LOS’s top laner, was fined after making a middle-finger gesture immediately following LOS’s 3-2 victory over LOUD in the CBLOL upper-bracket final on Sept. 27. The penalty is reported to be at least R$5,000 (about $958), and LOS has offered to pay the fine. The league has not released an official statement on the matter.

The gesture occurred after LOS secured a spot in the CBLOL 2026 grand final and one of Brazil’s berths at Worlds 2026. The grand final is scheduled for Oct. 10 in Rio de Janeiro.

At a post-match press conference, Zest explained the gesture was aimed at a specific LOUD fan who had taunted him before Game 5. He noted he had tried to avoid social media because of hostile messages and described the exchange that provoked his reaction. “When I was going into Game 5, a LOUD fan came up to me and said, \”You’re going to lose, you guys are going to lose this game.\” So when it was over, I only made that gesture toward that specific fan,” he added. “If I get fined, I’ll pay it, no problem.”

Team officials confirmed the club offered to cover the payment. Sources close to the matter described the sanction as financial only, which leaves Zest eligible to play in the grand final pending any further league action.

LOS advanced to the grand final from the upper bracket. LOUD and FURIA will meet in the lower-bracket final to determine Brazil’s second slot at Worlds 2026.
